About Me

Just Married
Once upon a time there was a young woman called Nicole. Nicole was a netballer, bike rider, scrapbooker, photographer, DVD watching single young woman. She taught kids from preschool to year 11, all over Queensland. Home Economics, Special Education, and at Primary School. Little did she know when she was embarking on her teaching journey throughout Queensland that she would meet a tall handsome man named Shane. Shane was a charter pilot working out of Karumba, a shipping port in the Gulf of Carpentaria.

One day Shane flew to Mornington Island and met Nicole. They continued to see each other on a regular basis even after Nicole moved to Mt Isa and Shane moved to Cairns. After 2 1/2 years of dating they purchased a unit together in Cairns. It was to be thier home together once they were married. Nicole moved to Cairns at the end of the 2003 school year and married Shane the following January (4th). They set sail on a wonderful cruise for their honeymoon and flew back to Cairns to start their life together.

- It’s a boy!

- It’s a girl!
Life in Cairns was beautiful, so many wonderful things to see and do. The young couple had hoped to live there for a number of years before moving back to Brisbane and starting a family. That was not to happen. In September of 2004 Shane got a transfer and the two moved. A year later Nicole was pregnant and in May of 2006 gave birth to a beautiful baby girl whom they called Zoe. Two years on they were blessed with a second bundle of joy, this time a son which they named Riley.

The once active single young teacher is a now distant memory and standing in her place is a mother. But not just any mother, this mother has to be the luckiest mother in the world for she gets to stay and play with her two beautiful children every single day. Cuddles are readily available, so too are kisses. The family plays, cooks and creates together all day long.

Me now out the back and loving it!
