Apparently we are now living inside a grade 1 classroom!

We have been quite busy each day creating wonderful works of art. Possibly a few too many as my husband has declared we are now living inside a grade 1 classroom. However what is Christmas without a few beautiful works of art made by your own children?
We have made snowmen pancakes (a bit healthier than bickies), star and hand wreaths, stockings, plum puddings, snowmen, Christmas trees (painted, stickered and rolled) reindeers with hand and foot prints, stars, snowflakes and 6 rainbow reindeers. With another 2 weeks until Christmas I’m sure we will be needing a rest from the craft box come January.
Tomorrow afternoon we have invited our friends with kids over to make some wonderful things to decorate their homes with too. I can’t wait. It should be fun seeing lots of little kids creating Christmas treasures together.
The photos below show most of the creations, if you want some directions just let me know but most are pretty straight forward.
Next post I will put up the family room. It is very pretty.

You are amazing Nicole. What a wonderfully dedicated mother you are!!! All I have done is given Kylah a styrofoam ball, sequins and pins and watched her painstakingly cover the ball in sequins (it took her about 4 hours), plus a few Christmas colouring ins. You are making me feel like a bad mum!!!! You have inspired me to try a bit harder!!! Out with the regular curriculum, in with the Christmas craft!!!

Sequins balls are beautiful Bianca and colourins are fun. I will be putting more ideas up soon.

Wow Nicole. It all looks amazing! You have a wonderful looking playroom. Enjoy this time because once they are at school it is harder to fit in these fun Christmas activities.

Thanks Jillian. I love doing these things with my kids. We spend hours in the playroom and outside so my husband and I decided to give up the big holidays for a couple of years and spend our holiday money on setting up the house for the kids. Im so glad we did, a week or two on the coast or a year of playing fun. It was a pretty easy decision.

So cute! I think having your house surrounded with children’s artwork is very special.

I’ve popped over from SquiggleMum’s blog and my house is turning into a Prep classroom! I love the craft and artwork at your house. Great stuff!
